Bagha Jatin teaser: Dev Adhikari promises to bring deep-rooted patriotism to the screen

Bagha Jatin's biopic to get a Durga Puja release
A biopic of freedom fighter Jatindranath Mukhophyay, popularly known as 'Bagha Jatin', will hit screens across West Bengal this Durga Puja, with actor Dev essaying le role. Director Arun Roy, who h earlier me period films such as 8/12 Binay Bal Dinesh and Egaro, told PTI that he has always been fascinated by freedom struggle. Roy said film titled 'Bagha Jatin', which will be released in Bengali and dubbed in Hindi, focuses on how Mukhophyay was enthused by revolutionary spirit.
Mukhophyay earned name 'Bagha Jatin' after killing a tiger that h strayed into his Kayagram village in present-day Banglesh in 1906, he said. movie has been shot at Balasore in Odisha, Kolkata and also or parts of West Bengal. Bagha Jati' will be Dev's second period film. In 2021, he h starred in Dhrubo Banerjee's Golondaaj, a biopic of Nagendra Pras Sarbhikari, doyen of Indian football.
