Good News: Beirut charity workers reunite lost pets with owners after blast

Established for almost 12 years, the organization suffered huge damage with several animals in the shelter injured in the Beirut blasts that rocked the nation.

Charity workers at an animal welfare organization in Leban have been reuniting lost pets with ir owners as teams of 40 workers continue to scourge city that was shaken by two massive blasts that claimed at least 135 lives, injured more than 5,000 and rendered almost 300,000 homeless. In heart-warming foot shared on YouTube  animal welfare charity, Animals Leban, was seen uniting separated pets to owner after treating m. In foot, several dogs, that escaped ir w destroyed homes or had gone missing during explosion were seen hugging ir owners in an emotional video.

A woman can be seen hugging her big white pooch as it smiles post an emotional reunion in clip.

n-profit group Animals Leban’s executive director Jason Mier reportedly said that people were extremely happy and overwhelmed to find ir pets, especially when injured pets were treated and given back.

Established for almost 12 years, organization suffered huge dam with several animals in shelter injured in blasts. In several posts that charity shared online, on Twitter and several clips on Facebook, a cat can be seen bleeding as a glass shard hurt its paw.

Treating injured pets

Workers can be seen treating feline injured from shattered glass during explosion. Mier said that charity received more than 100 calls in a day with people enquiring about ir lost pets, as per a report. He was quoted as saying that Animals Leban was main animal welfare organization in country. In response to trdy, organization as well as residents have been using social media posting ims of ir lost pets in an effort to unite with m. Three days since explosion, hundreds of volunteers were seen on streets Beirut in response to crisis clearing and removing rubble.  gigantic blasts were caused by poorly stored explosives in a warehouse at port of Beirut according to reports, investigation, however, is ongoing.
