BLACKPINK's YG Entertainment edits out Lord Ganesha idol after facing flak

Korean girl band BLACKPINK faced flak for using Lord Ganesha in their music video as aesthetic and now YG Entertainment has edited it out. Read for details.

Korean girl band BLACKPINK recently released ir song How You Like That and it broke records for YouTube's most-viewed video in 24 hours. It garnered over 82 million views within first 24 hours and has been hot topic for discussion right from its release on June 26. makers faced a lot of flak for using idol of Lord Ganesha as an aestic in How You Like That music video. ncy YG Entertainment has finally taken action for it. 

YG Entertainment edits out Lord Ganesha idol from BLACKPINK video

Soon after being in range of internet fire, BLACKPINK's YG Entertainment made changes to How You Like That music video. y edited out Lord Ganesha statue from music video without re-uploading video. It is likely that ncy sought permission from streaming platform YouTube to change particular part of video without losing analytics. Fans were really happy about ncy's decision and quick response on matter.

Soon after release of video, fans were quick to point out disrespect of religion and Hindu deities and asked fellow K-Pop fans to email YG Entertainment and urge m to take action against it. Within time, hashtags #Ganesha and #YGapologise were attending on Twitter, and fans were demanding m to rectify ir mistake. A Twitter handle which calls itself official BLACKPINK India handle took up matter and decided to bring it to makers’ tice and posted a statement.

y put up a tweet where y said that y have been trying to reach YG Entertainment to raise issue with m. y also addressed how offensive us of a god is, and how badly it is affecting people. y furr asked fans to be patient regarding it.

With release of BLACKPINK's How You Like That and ir record, y took back ir original tag from BTS. y earlier bagged tag in April 2019 with ir song Kill This Love. BTS snatched tag from m and made a new record with ir song Boy With Luv in same month. Fans are w er to see if BTS will once again snatch title from m with ir next release.
