Black (2005)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black which came out in 2005 starred Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee. Rani's role was reportedly earlier offered to Kareena Kapoor. film dealt with story of a blind girl and her teacher who developed Alzheimer’s disease. film did exceptionally well at atres and was critically very well received. film was even highest-earning Indian film in overseas market for that year.

Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)
2003’s Karan Johar produced Kal Ho Naa Ho was a massive hit which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. Preity's role was what was offered to Kareena Kapoor before. movie was highest-earning Bollywood film of that year and was very well received critically. In his book, Karan Johar mentioned how Kareena was offered role but she reportedly wanted to be paid as much as Shah Rukh Khan and that’s where discussions fell through. Preity Zinta received favourable reviews for her depiction of Naina in this movie.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam from 1999 which launched Aishwarya Rai to stardom was originally supposed to cast Kareena Kapoor. director approached a young Kapoor for role but Kareena was reportedly looking to pursue higher education and hence could t commit to role. film went on to get 16 minations at 45th Filmfare awards. It starred Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Aishwarya Rai in place of Kareena Kapoor.

Goliyon Ki RasLeela Ram-Leela(2013)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Kareena Kapoor were linked up yet again for 2013 adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. While Kapoor signed up for film and told interviewers about how excited she was to finally be working with Bhansali, she left film before filming began. Instead of Bhansali movie, Bebo chose to work on Gori Tere Pyaar Mein instead. In an interview, she addressed this by talking about how all of her decisions depend on her mood and although she signed up for Ram-Leela, movie did t feel right to her. Deepika Padukone, who replaced Kareena in movie, achieved a lot of acclaim for acting and dancing skills she demonstrated in film.

Queen (2014)
Anurag Kashyap produced Queen from 2014 starred Kangana Ranaut as a young spinster who travels to Paris and Amsterdam for her what was supposed to be her honeymoon, alone after her fiance calls off wedding. film earned ₹ 108 crores at box-office and proved to be a critical and commercial success. Kangana Ranaut was awarded Best Actor (Female) Award at 62nd National Film Awards ceremony. Kareena was originally offered role but rejected it because she could t relate to script.
