Aamir Khan clarifies on 'money in wheat bags' with Robin Hood reference after viral videos

Aamir Khan posted a clarification on the story about 'money in wheat bags', that he was reported to have donated. He denied it with a Robin Hood reference.

Aamir Khan participated in ‘I for India’ concert to raise funds for battle against COVID-19 on Sunday. However, Rang De Basanti star has clarified that it was t him who made donation.

Aamir took to social media on Monday to state that eir it was ‘fake news completely' or that 'Robin Hood', legendary historic figure who was kwn to help needy, did t want to reveal himself.

Some posts and videos of alleged donation had surfaced on social media. One was shared by wrestler Sangram Singh, who hailed ‘perfectionist’ for gesture.

In video, a Sikh man is heard saying that Aamir had sent a truck full of wheat flour packets, with one kilo for each family and that Rs 15,000 was found in those packets. man is seen conveying his gratitude to actor in video.

Aamir had been shooting for his film Laal Singh Chaddha, official remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump in Punjab before COVID-19 pandemic. He plays a Sikh man in film.

Recently, news of him suiting up for his niece’s debut film from home had gone viral.
