Aarey Colony issue has been in news since first strike happened. According to reports, nearly 400 trees were cut overnight in area. Section 144 was imposed. Several people who were protesting against cut down were arrested. Bollywood celebrities also did t hold back to share ir thoughts about Aarey colony issue. Bollywood celebrities in past have always been vocal about social causes. film fraternity have been active participants of several charity events and causes. Celebrities did t hold back when it came to overnight cutting of trees in Aarey Colony. Actress Pooja Bhatt and Nimrat Kaur chose to directly attack  cutting down of trees by calling it inhumane. Actor Sidharth Malhotra tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis regarding issue in his tweet. He stated that cutting down of trees in colony will le to an ecological imbalance. He furr stated that forest should be protected for next generation witnessing it. Actors Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar and Richa Chha were unanimously outrd about trees being cut down in middle of night.
