Abhay Deol on Bollywood: 'Highly competitive place which can affect one's mental health'
Actor Abhay Deol vented his opinion about the film fraternity and bias award shows while sharing a few glimpses from some of his films on social media.

Actor Abhay Deol for past few days has been sharing glimpses from some of his films on social media. What caught attention of his fans was that actor has mentioned #makingwhatbollywouldnt in all of his posts. Talking about hashtag, Abhay spoke to a leading media outlet and said that he felt this was a good way to bring attention to se movies which were t much talked about. In interview, actor even mentioned that film industry is a completely different world and it a highly competitive place that can affect one’s mental health as well.
Abhay Deol vents opinion on entertainment industry
He said that people are highly insecure and y are often found saying that or’s failure is a success for m. He explained a few ways where people try to find success over or’s failure which includes planting false stories about actor, paid-for reviews being deliberately negative, people gaslighting or within industry to sabot career, people robbing actor of a mination or a win at an award show.

actor also threw light on hashtag which he said used for those films he believes are good and would be entertaining even today. actor said that those were some of his films that didn’t have eugh funds for marketing or a big release. So a lot of people are t aware of m. He furr mentioned that se are those films that were most difficult to make and even tougher to release. Sharing his views on bias award shows and narrating his personal experience of same, Abhay mentioned about him and Farhan Akhtar been 'demoted' by award shows and minated for supporting roles for ir work in film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

He also said that Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif were chosen in leading actor category which according to him is a clear overt example. actor took a jibe at award functions and said that y did t even bor hiding ir biases towards film. He reportedly said that lobby culture has been prevalent in entertainment industry he feels that one bors to stand up or do anything. Abhay said that stars are ready to conform, which is why y kw that y can get away with it.

Adding furr, DevD actor revealed that reason behind him opening so bluntly about issue is because he grew up in a film family and he has heard of se games even as a child. As a kid, he heard it through or people’s experiences, and as a professional, he has seen it himself w.
Sushant Singh Rajput's demise which had sparked debates regarding Nepotism and favoritism on social media has in a way pushed actor to open up and speak up a little bit. But, this is t first time that Abhay has spoken about bias in film fraternity. Abhay felt sorry that it took someone’s death to shake and wake everybody up. But he is happy that people have at least taken a te of it and y want to be heard.

Abhay also said that people are asking for a change t just from outside of industry but even from inside. He also reportedly said that what good derived from overall situation is that actors are speaking out. He confessed that over time he had become quiet because he did t want to be only one screaming.
