Abhishek Bachchan drops out of John Abraham’s ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ Hindi remake

According to Pinkvilla, the reunion of the two Bollywood stars will not be taking place as Bachchan has opted out of the ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ remake.

John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan were expected to join hands yet again for official remake of Malayalam film titled Ayyappanum Koshiyum. However, according to reports by Pinkvilla, reunion of two Bollywood stars will not be taking place as Bachchan has opted out of film. remake will be helmed by Jagan Shakti.

An individual close to team behind development of film spoke to Pinkvilla and mentioned that reunion of two stars h created a ‘positive chatter’. He said, “ reports of John and Abhishek’s reunion h created a positive chatter in industry as ir chemistry was widely appreciated in 2008 film Dostana. prep-work h begun and director Jagan Shakti was all geared up to take it on floors in month of November. However, just a couple of weeks back, Abhishek Bachchan conveyed to John and entire team about his reservations of coming on board film.”

Pinkvilla also reported that Abhishek Bachchan will no longer be part of film, even though he was excited to reunite with his Dostana co-star John Abraham. y also reported that actor hopes to collaborate with John soon. team behind remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum will not be on lookout for an actor to replace Bachchan. actor currently has two films that are rey to be released, Bob Biswas and Dasvi. actor is currently shooting for Oththa Seruppu Size in Chennai. John Abraham on or hand is shooting for two films, Ek Villain 2 and Pathan.

Reports also state that script for upcoming remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum has been locked and team hopes y can begin shooting in November despite recent hiccup. Pinkvilla’s source mentioned that director has me changes to original story so it is well-apted to an audience who understands Hindi. Apart from taking inspiration from Malayalam film, source also mentioned that director is keeping a close eye on Pawan Kalyan fronted Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum and intends to include some larger-than-life moments in Hindi version.
