Adipurush is one of the biggest and most talked-about films of the year. The Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-led mythological drama is an adaptation of the Sanskrit epic The Ramayana and celebrates the victory of good over evil. Its trailer was screened at a special event in Hyderabad where it received a thunderous response from fans who were left captivated by the sheer scale and magnificence of the epic tale. The trailer is now out on Youtube and as expected, it has been receiving a phenomenal response with fans already claiming it to be a blockbuster.

The Adipurush trailer is a massive improvement on the visual front compared to the teaser released last year. It gives fans a better idea of what to expect from Om Raut's magnum opus. It also showcases the bond between Hanuman and Lord Ram and Shabari's love for the latter. Additionally, the trailer also gives a glimpse of the epic moment when Goddess Sita crosses the Laxman Rekha that eventually leads to Lanka Dahan.

Here are the main takeaways from the trailer

The Adipurush trailer begins with a scene in which Lord Hanuman (Devdatta Nage) introduces the audience to Lord Ram. These lines highlight that the film will trace his journey from a man to a god. Nage's dialogues do a good job of building an aura around Prabhas, thus doing justice to his larger-than-life reel image, the way Baahubali had done.

The focus then shifts to Lord Ram/Raghav. The trailer manages to capture the essence through simple yet moving dialogues. In a striking sequence with Shabari, he talks about the importance of 'karm' and highlights that a man's stature is defined by his deeds, not his birth. In another one, he inspires his 'praja' to fight against evil.

And while it is not uncommon for female actors to get limited screen time and their characters a weak graph in commercial cinema, Adipurush, going by its trailer appears to be an exception on this front. The trailer features Kriti Sanon as Goddess Sita and gives her scope to make an image and leave an impression on the viewer. In a powerful sequence, she talks about how Lord Ram needs to break Raavan's arrogance to rescue her. Kriti's on-point dialogue delivery with the right mix of emotion is one of the highlights of the under-4-minute trailer.

Coming to Saif Ali Khan, he is no stranger to negative roles and Adipurush gives him an opportunity to play the antagonist again. He, however, is not featured prominently in the trailer. There are two blink-and-miss shots of him. In the first one, he is seen abducting Goddess Sita while the other one captures his inner turmoil. Notedly, Saif's look in the trailer is more realistic than the one featured in the teaser.

In terms of stunning visuals and breathtaking sequences, the Adipurush trailer is a feast for the senses. With an already captivating story, improved VFX, a heart-thumping background score and stellar performances to look forward to, the film which promises to transport viewers to a mythical and mesmerizing world, seems to have all the right ingredients for a blockbuster hit.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush, produced by T- Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, will release on June 16 globally in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
