It is not a hidden fact that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and not, Rani Mukherjee was supposed to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Chalte Chalte. When Aishwarya lost out on the role to Rani, Shah Rukh revealed about her saying that it is unfortunate that things did not work out with her on the film. He further revealed that he bears her no ill will and in places like London and Germany, people only recognize two Indian names which are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. SRK called his Devdas co-star the international face of Indian cinema.

Ranbir Kapoor described himself working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as a historic moment for his career

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil co-star Ranbir Kapoor also was full of praises for the actress. Ranbir Kapoor spoke about her and revealed that it was a historic moment for his career when the Aishwarya agreed to work with him in the film. Ranbir further added that he was sure that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would have refused to work with him. But one of the most adorable words of praises came from the actor's husband, Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek had spoken in an earlier interview before his marriage to the actor, saying that she is very human, unaffected and down-to-heart. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will soon be seen in an untitled film which will be helmed by the ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam.
