Unseen pic of day: Aishwarya Rai’s resemblance to Kokilaben Ambani was uncanny in 'Guru'

Aishwarya Rai's still from the movie Guru shows an uncanny resemblance to the real Kokilaben Ambani. The actor's character was based on the matriarch.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Guru, which was helmed by Mani Ratnam and was released in year 2007, was loosely based on life of business tycoon, Dhirubhai Ambani. Aishwarya's character in movie was touted to be based on Dhirubhai's wife, Kokilaben Ambani and actor was much appreciated for her performance in same. Recently, a still of actor from movie has been going viral on social media wherein she bears an uncanny resemblance to matriarch of Ambani family.

Aishwarya Rai's striking resemblance to Kokilaben Ambani

Alongside that Aishwarya's look from movie bears a striking resemblance to Kokilaben. actor can be seen sporting a golden saree and opting for a n-makeup look.

She can be furr seen sporting a red Bindi and a se ring. Jodha Akbar actor furr opted for a dyed white hairdo to showcase middle-d look. One of fans reacted to post stating that Aishwarya h done a stunning performance in movie. fan also predicted that actor would find success in a stand-alone character film if same would be helmed by Mani Ratnam, given fact that acclaimed filmmaker also directed Guru. Talking about movie, it also starred Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, R Mhavan, and Roshan Seth in pivotal roles.  soundtrack of movie was composed by AR Rahman. Guru h also premiered in Toronto making it first Indian film to have a mainstream release in Cana. Abhishek Bachchan starrer film was also a part of Cannes Film Festival that year. AR Rahman h gone on to receive Award for Best Music and Best Background Score in Filmfare Awards as well as IIFA Awards.
