Ajay Devgn and Kajol are celebrating 19 years of togetherness today and the spark has still not disappeared between them. The two started dating during their 1985 movie, Gundaraj. After being with each other for four years, the duo decided to tie the knot in a private Maharashtrian ceremony at Ajay’s residence. Here are some of their unforgettable songs together which proves that they are couple goals.
1. Jee Le
The dance number from the 2008 romantic film, U Me Aur Hum saw both Ajay Devgn and Kajol try their hand at dancing. The duo looked dapper in their completely white outfits. U Me Aur Hum was also Ajay Devgn’s directorial debut. The film is partially based on the Hollywood film, The Notebook.
2. Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha
Ajay Devgn and Kajol dazzled on the screen when they starred together in the 1998 hit film. The song showcased the innocent love between the two. The film was a remake of the 1995 Hollywood movie French Kiss. The music album of Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha was the fourth best selling album that year after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Se.. and Soldier.
3. Tune Mujhe Pehchana Nahin
The Jatin-Lalit composition was for the 2000 film Raju Chacha. The music of the song was very minimalistic so that the major focus was on the singer, Shaan’s voice. Ajay Devgn is seen trying to woo Kajol in a very romantic way. The film was also Devgn’s debut as a producer.
4. Neend Churayi Meri
The number was one of the most popular dance numbers from the 1997 romantic comedy film, Ishq. The original song starred Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan shaking their feet to the tune. The track was rehashed recently for Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again which also starred Ajay Devgn.
5. Pyar Ke Liye
The song was set amongst the scenic mountain locations which makes it a treat for both the eyes and ears. The song is a part of the 1999 drama film, Dil Kya Kare which also stars Mahima Chaudhry in a lead role. The iconic number was sung by Alka Yagnik.
