Ajay Devgn says YES to 'Satte Pe Satta' remake after having rejected it earlier
Ajay Devgn has given his nod to play the lead in Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan’s Satte Pe Satta remake after he turned it down last year. Read on for deets.

It was about a year ago that Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty anunced ir maiden collaboration with much fanfare. Reportedly, two had been working on remake of 1982 cult classic Satte Pe Satta for longest time. However, things did t play out well for duo and project had been presumably put on a back burner due to several delays. script was reportedly offered to almost all leading men in Bollywood, including likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. A few months ago, it was also learnt that Hrithik Roshan was brought on board only to bow out of film later on as he was t quite convinced with script.

Ajay Devgn steps in to rescue of Rohit Shetty for Satte Pe Satta Remake
While project may have been put on hold, film is certainly in works as latest update on erly-awaited remake is that Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty have recently approached Ajay Devgn with script and actor has said yes to offer. As reported by a media portal, Ajay had given his d to script. report also added that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty have always shared a great camaraderie and with team facing a hurdle, actor has stepped in to director's rescue. It furr explained that Ajay, who just delivered a hit with Tanhaji: Unsung Warrior, will soon begin shooting for upcoming sequel to Golmaal franchise and will give his dates for Satte Pe Satta remake once female lead is finalised.

For unversed, Ajay Devgn had been previously approached for role but actor was firm on issue that he would never want to do a remake of an Amitabh Bachchan film. original Satte Pe Satta (1982) also featured Hema Malini, Amjad Khan, Ranjeeta Kaur, and Shakti Kapoor, amongst ors. It was produced by Romu Sippy and directed by Raj N Sippy where Rajesh Vasani reportedly holds remake rights of film.
