The film shows how Ajay becomes mentally sick in jail. However, the duo still fights for their love. The drama-romantic movie got a rating of 5.6 on IMDb and fans loved the chemistry between Ajay and Raveena.

2. Zakhm 1998:

Zakhm, a Mahesh Bhatt directorial was one of Ajay's most appreciated films in the '90s. The movie plot revolves around the time when militants generated riots to demolish Babri Masjid. Ajay's performance in Zakhm bagged him his first National Film Award for best actor. This movie is considered a must-watch by many as it signifies a very intense story of how people's lives get affected during riots.

3. Haqeeqat 1995:

Haqeeqat film was directed by Kuku Kohli, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles. A review from a fan said that Ajay's role in Haqeeqat emphasized on Ajay's true sense of emotionality that he conveyed through his eyes.

4. Ishq 1997: 

Ishq, starring Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, was one of the films that fans probably should not forget to watch. Ishq's plot is about the distinctions made by parents on the basis of finances. The four actors prove them wrong and Ajay and Kajol's chemistry in the film became the talk of the town back then.
