Ajay Devgn shares the Hirkani movie trailer; praises Maratha history

Ajay Devgn who is currently shooting historical drama Taanaji: Unsung Warrior has shared trailer of a Marathi movie, Hirkani. Ajay who was seen in De De Pyaar De opposite Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh will soon feature as Tanaji Malusare in upcoming movie.  Tanaji Malusare is a Maharashtrian Military leer in 17th Century. movie is directed by Om Raut is based on real-life hero.

Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to share official trailer of Hirkani. Hirkani is a story of a mor and lengths she goes to just to get back home to her infant. While sharing trailer of movie, Ajay Devgn said that he learned a lot about Maratha history while shooting for his upcoming movie. Hirkani stars Marathi actor Sonalee Kulkarni in le role, as Hirkani. Sonalee has even changed her twitter name to name of role she plays.

Hirkani is ‘brave story of morhood,’ in Ajay's words. Sonalee Kulkarni took to twitter, and thanked Ajay Devgn for sharing trailer of her movie. Both Hirkani and Taanaji: Unsung Warrior are stories from same era, set in reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Apart from Devgn, many Bollyowwd stars came forward to congratulate cast and crew of movie.

Apart from Ajay, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol are also a part of movie. While Kajol plays role of Laxmi bai, Saif embodies character of Udayban Rathod. music of movie is given by ace composers Ajay-Atul. movie was slated to release this year. However, it will w release on January 10, 2020.

Ajay Devgn will also be seen playing role of Indian footballer Syed Abdul Rahim in movie Maidaan. movie is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and also stars National Film Award-winning actor Keerthi Suresh from South Indian film industry. Ajay will also be seen in Abhishek Dudhaiya directed movie Bhuj: Pride of India. He will star opposite Sonakshi Sinha in movie, which is slated to release on August 14, 2020.
