Ajay Devgn's Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and other works by Om Raut

Om Raut is a director, producer and actor in Bollywood. His first movie in Bollywood was as an actor in the movie Karamati Coat. Raut will be directing the upcoming movie Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Ajay had shared the poster of the movie on his Twitter account a couple of months ago:

As a director

Om Raut directed the Marathi movie Lokmanya Ek Yugpurush. The movie released in 2015. It is a historical film that traces the life events of the legendary leader Lokmanya Baal Gangadhar Tilak. Subodh Bhave is essaying the role of Lokmanya Tilak in the movie. The movie also stars Priya Bapat, Shweta Bhende, and Bharat Dabholkar in lead roles.

As a producer

Raut has produced two movies in his career. He was the director of City of Gold – Mumbai 1982: Ek Ankahee Kahani. The movie was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The movie looks at a poverty-driven family who fight for their rights as the Mumbai mills are shutting down. He was also the producer of the movie Haunted - 3D, which released in 2011. The movie is directed by Vikram Bhatt. It starred Mimoh Chakraborty and Tia Bajpai.

As an actor

Om Raut has starred in the movie Karamati Coat. The movie was released in 1993. It is an Ajay Karthik directed movie. The movie starred Vikram Acharya, Amrik Gill and Irrfan Khan. Om Raut played the role of Raju in the film.

the filmmaker is currently working on Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. The movie will look at the story of Tanaji Malusare, who was a 17th-century Maharashtrian military leader. The movie is scheduled to on January 10, 2020. Along with Ajay, it stars Saif Ali Khan and Kajol.
