Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji marks the actor's 100th film; makers share video

Ajay Devgn's upcoming project Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior, based on Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare, will be his 100th film. For celebrating the actor's journey in Bollywood, his production house Ajay Devgn Ffilms has posted a video on YouTube which traces the range of roles that Ajay Devgn has played on the silver screen in the last 30 years of his career as an actor. A special poster of the upcoming historical drama was shared by his wife, actor Kajol Devgn along with an endearing caption.

The poster unveiled by the actor is actually made of a collage of stills from all of Ajay Devgn's films which is noticeable with a closer look. The actor is known for his versatility in portraying his roles in different genres. His latest contribution, Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior will be his 100th contribution to Indian cinema.

About Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior
The film is based on the life of great Maratha warrior Subedar Tanaji Malusare, who battled alongside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The great Maratha warrior is celebrated for his important role in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 AD. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by Ajay Devgn. Kajol will be seen portraying the role of Tanaji’s wife. The makers of the film also unveiled a poster earlier with Saif Ali Khan as one of the pivotal characters in the film. Saif will be portraying the role of a Mughal fort keeper Uday Bhan Rathod.

Actor Ajay Devgn was last seen in the romantic comedy film De De Pyaar De, directed by Akiv Ali, opposite actors Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. For 2020, Ajay has an interesting line-up of movies including Hansal Mehta's Turram Khan, Amit Sharma's Maidaan, Abhishek Dudhaiya's Bhuj: the Pride of India among others. He will also have cameo appearances in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi and S.S Rajamouli's RRR in 2020.
