Akelli trailer: Nushrratt Bharuccha tries escape war hit Iraq in survival thriller

Nushrratt Bharuccha rose to fame for her role in the Pyaar Ka Punchanama film series. After impressing the audience with her performances across genres, the actress is all set to star in a survival thriller. Nushrratt Bharuccha will be seen playing the lead role in the film Akelli. The makers dropped the trailer of the movie on August 4.

Akelli trailer: Nushrratt gets stuck in a combat zone in Iraq

In the trailer of Akelli, Nushrratt is seen playing the role of Jyoti, a young woman from Punjab, who moves to Mosul in Iraq for better career opportunities. However, terror grips the citizens after some religious leaders attack Iraq from Suria and take over certain parts of the nation. The clip further shows Nushrratt  trapped in the violence-hit country with countless other women.

Nevertheless, instead of losing hope, she fights for her freedom. Nushrratt is seen hatching a plan to escape the country but she is challenged by several men. The trailer also shows her being harassed by both women and men in captivity. The trailer seems promising with spine-chilling scenes. Sharing the trailer, the Chhorii actress wrote, "AKELLI - An Ordinary Girl’s Battle For Survival."

Akelli to clash with Abhishek Bachchan's Ghoomer

Nushrratt Bharuccha's movie Akelli will be clashing with R Balki's directorial Ghoomer in the theatres. The movie will be featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher as the main leads. Both the film's will be releasing in theatres on August 18.
