Akshay Kumar has been known to one of the fittest Bollywood actors that makes the 51-year-old actor look like a 35-year-old. At a recent football event, the actor talked about fitness and diet tips with regards to the current generation and how they should reconnect with homemade foods more often. Here are the excerpts from his exclusive interview with a leading daily.

In the interview, Akshay Kumar focused on the 'supplement culture' that the youngsters follow these days. He said that the youth nowadays depends on protein shakes and other supplements to get the healthier and fitter body but Akshay said that there is no shortcut to the road of health. He pointed out that the nutritious homemade ingredients like ghee, curd, and milk are being forgotten and instead people are depending on vitamin and mineral supplements to keep up their nutrition levels. He said that things should go in a natural way and we shouldn't be a slave to the protein shakes and supplements and instead eat proper organic food of all kinds. Akshay also told that whenever you feel like there is nothing good to eat, grab some bananas as they are filling and nutritious at the same time.

Disciplined life
Akshay Kumar revealed his complete everyday diet a few years ago in a reputed daily saying that he never diets and eats all kinds of food but makes sure that he takes his last meal of the day at around 6 pm - 6:30 pm. After waking up early at around 5 am - 5.30 am, Akshay believes that breakfast is the most important meal and that is when you should be stuffing yourself up with all the calories. It might be true as the actor has followed these tips himself since a long time and led a disciplined routine for a long time. He also gave his fans a diet tip to eat healthily every three hours during Masterchef India to avoid unwanted cravings throughout the day.

Akshay indicates that exercise works best when you feel happy while working out. the main point is to always be physically active. Akshay Kumar led the 'Fit India Movement' to increase the awareness to exercise. Akshay has been known for his disciplined routine where he works out every day, be it swimming, yoga, kickboxing, trekking and thus keeps on changing his workout modes. Akshay doesn't go to the gym and finds natural ways to workout.
