Akshay Kumar organises dinner for OMG 2 cast as film impresses at the box office

Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 is doing good business at the box office despite releasing with Gadar 2 . The actor hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate the success of the film. In attendance were several cast and crew members.

How is OMG 2 doing at the boxz office?

The Akshay Kumar starrer faces tough competition from Gadar 2, Jailer and Bhola Shankar. Despite this , the film has managed to sway the audience. As per numbers shared by the filmmakers, the movie has already minted Rs 43.11 Cores in its three-day run. The film opened to a rather underwhelming Rs 10.26 Crores but picked pace on Saturday and Sunday.

As per trade analysts, the film minted Rs 15.30 cores on Saturday. This number saw a steep increase on Sunday.   The movie made Rs 43.11 crores in the first (extended) weekend. The film is rapidly making its way into the Rs 50 crore club. Despite limited screens, an ‘Adult’ only certificate and competition from major films, the movie has been drawing plenty of audiences to theatres. OMG 2 stars Akshay, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. It is a spiritual sequel to OMG (2012)
