Akshaye Khanna not planning to tie the knot, reasons his singledom

Akshaye Khanna, who was recently seen in the film Section 375, is one of the brightest talents of Bollywood and is considered to prefer privacy over stardom. However, he recently got candid in an interview saying that he is not willing to tie the knot and is also not ready to be a single parent. Akshaye recently bagged a lot of appreciation from everyone including the film fraternity and film critics to the audiences on his performance in Section 375 as a criminal lawyer.

Akshaye on having a private life irrespective of being a public figure
The Ittefaq actor when asked about taking long breaks and having comebacks, said that he does not look at it as a comeback but it is the people who phrase it like that, which is fine according to him. The 44-year-old actor also opened up about being a private person when asked about facing difficulties to have a personal life being a public figure. Akshaye's perception of it was rather different. He feels that how much of their lives should be in the public eye is a person's individual choice and he does not find it difficult to maintain a private life irrespective of being a public figure.

Akshaye on tying the knot
Akshaye in the same interview was asked whether being a private person has led to him not getting married to which he said that it has got nothing to do with any particular aspect of his life. He just likes being private. That is the way he has always been, even as a child. There’s no one particular thing holding him back. When asked again about planning to get married, Khanna precisely said that he does not see himself getting married, he is not marriage material. It is a commitment and also a drastic lifestyle change for him. He wants full control over his life and said that when one shares their life with somebody else, they can’t have full control over their lives. One has to give a lot of control away after getting married.
