Alia Bhatt opened up about her Hollywood career after Heart of Stone
In a candid conversation with Kareena Kapoor Khan during the fifth season of What Women Want, Alia Bhatt shared her thoughts on her Hollywood debut and the commitment required for such ventures. Curious about Alia’s entry into international cinema, Kareena inquired whether Alia planned to pursue more Hollywood roles.
Alia responded, “I think it genuinely depends on the timing. When Heart of Stone came to me, I had some time, and I thought it would be an interesting opportunity to break into a new space, similar to what I did with RRR. It’s not about ‘I have to do a Hollywood film’ or ‘I need to take on this project.’ It’s more about pushing myself into unfamiliar territory and taking on challenges that help me grow.”
Alia Bhatt shifted priorities after becoming a mother
The Gully Boy actress has expressed her willingness to consider international opportunities, but she also mentioned that her priorities have changed since becoming a mother. Alia explained, “It’s now more challenging to leave for three to four months. I can’t simply pack up and go for extended periods anymore.” She acknowledged that accepting such commitments would necessitate careful planning.
Currently, Alia Bhatt is focused on the release of her new film, Jigra. However, directed by Vasan Bala, the film has struggled to perform well, earning only ₹4.25 on its opening day. Many on social media have labelled it a "weak" film, and Alia's performance has been described as "mediocre."
