From playing a college girl in her debut movie, Student of Year to playing an Indian spy in Raazi, audiences have always been vocal about her tremendous grown as an actor. In each movie, she is seen donning a different character. Wher it is playing a kidnapped but rebellious girl in Highway or bold Safeena in Gully Boy, actor received much appreciation from fans as well as critics. Gully Boy
Inspired from life of Indian rappers Neazy and Divine, movie stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead. Alia played Safeena Firdausi, an intelligent and bold girl. short-tempered nature of Safeena and way Alia portrayed it, was loved by many. movie created a huge buzz and made underground hip-hop famous. Recently, Gully Boy has been selected as Indian’s official entry in 92nd Academy Awards in Best International Feature Film category.
Raazi
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, movie takes place during Indo-Pakistan War in 1971, where a Kashmiri woman agrees to marry a Pakistani army officer to spy on Pakistan. Alia Bhatt as, Indian spy, Sehmat earned praises from everyone. actor also won several awards for her role in film. Vicky Kaushal played Pakistani army officer Iqbal Syed. audience adored chemistry between Alia & Vicky.

Kalank
Alia Bhatt’s recent release, Kalank, did t match audience’s expectations. Produced by Karan Johar, movie was made on a huge budget and set around time of India-Pakistan partition. star cast includes Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Kunal Khemu. megastar cast also failed to save film. However, Alia Bhatt as Roop was mesmerising in film.

Shaandaar
Released in 2015, film stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead. It is a story of two insomniacs who fall in love with each or. Shaandaar received negative reviews from both critics and audiences. Thought audience found fresh pair of Alia and Shahid cute on-screen, movie was rejected and eventually failed at box office. Songs from films such as Gulaabo and Shaam Shaandaar were chartbusters.
