Alia Bhatt, who made her Hollywood debut with Heart Of Stone, celebrated her first with OTT platform Netflix. The actress revealed how her first audition led to her now husband Ranbir Kapoor. Also, she opened up about her first film as a child artist and what happened during the filming.

How did Alia Bhatt meet Ranbir Kapoor?

On Sunday, the official page of Netflix shared a video on Instagram in which Alia Bhatt can be heard speaking about her firsts. The video starts with the actress saying, "I'm super excited to tell you about my first Hollywood film, Heart of Stone. So to celebrate it, I'm going to tell you some of my favourite firsts." 

The Kalank actress continued that she auditioned for young Rani Mukerji for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black (2005). "I didn't get it, obviously because I'm not in the film. But, fun fact! It was the first time I also met my now husband Ranbir Kapoor." 

Alia, who was around 11 years old back then, met Ranbir, 23, when he was working as AD (assistant director) on Black. The movie also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Ayesha Kapur in the lead roles. 

Alia Bhatt made her acting debut at the age of 5

Recalling the hilarious incident when she first shot the scene in Sangharsh (1999), the actress said she was around 5 or 6 years old when she made her debut. "I was told to start crying or screaming. And I started screaming before they even called for the shot," she revealed.

Helmed by Tanuja Chandra and bankrolled by Mahesh Bhatt, the film starred Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles. In the film, Alia played the younger Preity Zinta.
