Alia Bhatt has a dozen hit films in her kitty and holds stakes in a styling business called StyleCracker. She has now come up with her own YouTube channel. It is called Alia Bhatt and the Kalank actor introduced it as “Something new, something fun, something on YouTube” on her Twitter handle. The channel went live on June 25, 2019, and had an immediate subscription count of 360k followers.
Alia Bhatt's Youtube channel
The Raazi actor says in her introductory episode that her channel will focus on her personal life and the viewers will be able to see her be totally unadulterated. She will give a sneak peek to her fans into what it is like to be a celebrity. Her first episode shows the reasoning of her choice of exploring the YouTube domain.“I have always been a super-expressive person. Somewhere I have become a little more private after I became an actor…So, I am here today because I am launching my YouTube channel... I have done the Instagram and Twitter world, and now I am trying to get onto the YouTube world”, she said.
The 2 minute-42 second video has snippets of behind-the-scenes and moments from Brahmastra’s set. It also shows footage from her personal life. Alia can be seen dancing to the 90s hit Tip Tip Barsa Paani in the iconic yellow saree. There is also a snippet of her doing hair and makeup in a 44-degree temperature in Banaras for Brahmastra and shooting of the song Ikk Kudi where she partnered with Diljit Dosanjh in Utda Punjab.
Most people have started their YouTube channel and then gone on to bag Bollywood offers like Bhuvaneshvar Bam (the first Indian YouTuber to boast of 10 million subscribers), Rohan Joshi, and Prajakta Koli. But Alia here is taking the reverse road, and it is easy to see why. YouTube is reportedly the third most visited website after Google and Facebook. The actor might be trying to leverage this to endorse her products or movies or simply to keep her fan-base intact. Already quite popular on Instagram and Twitter, Alia says that her YouTube channel is an effort to connect more with her fans.
Alia Bhatt's upcoming projects

Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy. The superhero sci-fi film is scheduled to release in the summer of 2020. Besides this Alia will also be starring in Karan Johar’s Takht.
