It was indeed disappointing news for Alia Bhatt's fans when Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film Inshallah was reportedly shelved where actor was supposed to be seen opposite Salman Khan. entire fandom wanted to see two come toger for movie. But soon re was some relief for actor's fans when SLB directorial Gangubai Kathiawi was anunced where Raazi actor will be essaying titular role. film is reportedly based on a vel and narrates story of a fiery ly don from city of Mumbai. movie is being touted as one of biggest woman-oriented roles of Udta Punjab actor.

According to media reports, Sanjay is w planning to whitewash Alia's character as a prostitute in film. filmmaker reportedly will go easy on some of dark aspects of Gangubai's life and will portray her in a more positive she. re have also been several or revelations surrounding film, Gangubai Kathiawi.

Alia will be learning local dialect of film

Reportedly, SLB is planning to gloss over underbelly side of movie. re are several rumours doing round regarding male protagonist to be cast opposite Dear Zindagi actor. re were speculations that Kartik Aaryan or Ajay Devgn may be starring opposite Alia in film. Alia will also undergo an extensive prep for  film and will learn local dialect to get nuances of her character right.
