Anushka Sharma was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 release Zero. The movie, which also cast Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, tanked miserably at the box-office with a collection of ₹ 88 Crores, while its production budget was ₹ 270 Crores. However, Anushka’s performance as a scientist with cerebral palsy was praised by the critics as well as the audience. Since then, the actor has been missing in action from the big screen. But she seems to have a host of movies lined up for the future. Here is a list of films which might feature the actor, as per reports:

Priceless

The movie is an Indian remake of the 2006 French film of the same name. Anushka Sharma will reportedly be seen alongside Sidharth Malhotra in this movie. It is the first time the actors are pairing up on-screen. They two had previously collaborated on a commercial. Priceless is expected to be directed by Tarun Mansukhani.

Kaneda

This is a romantic comedy reportedly starring Anushka Sharma alongside Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. Navdeep Singh, who had directed NH10, will also be directing Kaneda. The movie is reportedly being produced by Anushka herself. But there have been no further updates on the subject. As per unconfirmed reports, the movie seems to have something to do with Punjab. 

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film

After Sultan, Anushka Sharma and Salman Khan will reportedly pair up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film. The film was a huge success at the box-office and fans seem to be excited to watch them together again. Bhansali had last worked on Padmaavat which was a massive hit at the box office. According to reports, Bhansali has already written the script and wants to cast Anushka in the lead role. However, there is no confirmation of the same.

Paani

Anushka Sharma will reportedly work with the Yash Raj Films banner in Paani. Aditya Chopra is producing the movie and it is being directed by Shekhar Kapur. The movie was announced at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. Even a poster had been released but the filming is yet to start. According to reports, the film will also star Ayesha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Anushka Sharma talks about her one-year hiatus

There have been speculations regarding Anushka Sharma not signing any film after Zero. Many thought she is planning to quit her Bollywood career. But speaking on the subject, the actor reportedly said that she has reached a point in her career where she can do films at her own leisure. She does not feel the need to do films to fill up her time, as per one report. Anushka added that playing three drastically different characters in Paari, Sui Dhaga and Zero in 2018 was hectic.
