Ameesha Patel accused of fraud worth Rs 2.5 crore by filmmaker, case filed

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel who was last seen in the film 'Bhaiyyaji Superhit' has landed in a legal soup. And, not just her but her business partner Kuunal Goomer has also been accused of fraud too. 

As per reports, the two borrowed money from producer Ajay Kumar Singh to make a film titled, 'Desi Magic' under their production house. Featuring Ameesha Patel, Esha Gupta, Zayed Khan and Sahil Shroff the film went on floors on 2013 but has still not released.

A case has been filed against Patel and Goomer for alleged Rs, 2.5 crore fraud in the Ranchi, Jharkhand

Speaking to a leading daily, the producer said that the two had given him a cheque of Rs 3 crores but it bounced immediately. 

Meanwhile, Ameesha Patel has been trying her luck with films but she has had only two hits films, One with Hrithik Roshan titled 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai' and the other with Sunny Deol titled 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'.

Hrithik and Ameesha who mesmerized the audience with their on-screen chemistry in 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai', have also worked together in several other films including 'Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage'.  'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' is a critically acclaimed film has won a number of prestigious awards including 7 IIFA Awards

On the professional front,  Ajay Kumar Singh is awaiting the release of his upcoming Hindi film Family of Thakurganj which stars Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster duo Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahie Gill.
