Amitabh Bachchan celebrates spirit of festivity during Navratri: 'It makes bonds stronger'

Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan kickstarted the Hindu festival of Navratri on Saturday with his heartfelt wishes for his fans on social media.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday said re might be limitations over celebration of Durga Puja in country amid coronavirus pandemic but spirit has t died down. In his blog, 78-year-old actor wrote how festivities starting with nine-day Navratri festival, which began on Saturday, is being celebrated under show of COVID-19. 

"And y say festive season has begun .. Navratri Durga Pooja and soon festive Diwali and Dussera .. and limitations of celebration loom large among us all .. But spirit of prayer and wellness and reason for festivity has never changed or stepped down .. it remains stefast, unchanged and devout in its presence," Bachchan wrote.

screen icon said he prays that bond between people becomes stronger during se testing times. veteran actor kickstarted Hindu festival of Navratri on Saturday with his heartfelt wishes for his fans and followers on social media. He shared greetings along with Sanskrit shlokas to invoke Goddesses that are worshipped in nine days of Navratri. Through caption on Instagram, he also wished his fans "happiness, peace, prosperity, health, success and love".

What's next for Amitabh Bachchan?

veteran actor is scheduled to feature in plenty of films even though release dates of se films are uncertain at moment due to COVID-19 pandemic. Amitabh Bachchan will star in sports biopic Jhund, directed by Nagraj Manjule, based on life of Vijay Barse, founder of NGO Slum Soccer. film will reportedly premiere on OTT platform in near future.

Amitabh Bachchan also has Rumi Jaffery's mystery thriller film Chehre along with Emraan Hashmi for which actors have shot extensively in icy hills of Poland. Big B will also feature in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, along with actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. scheduled release date of film is December 4, 2020. However, given pandemic situation in country, release dates of all films are w shuffled.
