As per reports from a news ncy, Amitabh Bachchan was unable to attend Sharjah Book Fair this year because of his health problems. statement was made from event's official Twitter handle which read that Amitabh Bachchan was 'unable to fulfil his scheduled attendance at book fair on October 30 at 5 pm, owing to health issues which make him unfit to undertake overseas travel'. For uninitiated, Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from Nanavati Hospital a few weeks back after being admitted for some routine check-up. actor went for a routine check-up at hospital and remained re for next two days due to some liver problem. Once he was discharged, Bachchan left hospital with his wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek. re were series of reports claiming that superstar was suffering a liver problem but sources claimed re was truth to it. "He came to hospital for routine check-up. He is doing fine. He is hale and hearty," sources had said earlier.

After being discharged, actor requested everyone to respect his privacy.
