Amitabh Bachchan, popularly kwn as Shahenshah of Bollywood, is one of greatest and most influential actors of Hindi Cinema. He was born on October 11, 1942. In a career that spans over five decades, Amitabh Bachchan has mand to appear in over 190 films. Apart from being an actor, he is also a film producer, a playback singer, a television host, and a former politician.

Amitabh Bachchan career

Amitabh Bachchan began his career by doing a voice narration in National Award-winning movie Bhuvan Shome.  He made his acting debut with film Saat Hindustani. Zanjeer (1973) was first hit movie of Amitabh Bachchan after which he was given title of 'Angry Young Man'. He had several hits in his career like Anand (1970), Namak Haram (1973), Deewaar (1975), Trishul (1978), Don (1978), Natwarlal (1979), Suhaag (1979), Great Gambler (1980), Kaalia (1981), Silsila (1981), Shakti (1982) and many more. He also featured in a Hollywood movie,  Great Gatsby (2013). Amitabh Bachchan is also host of popular quiz program Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Amitabh Bachchan awards and achievements

Amitabh Bachchan became first artist to receive Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, established in name of Raj Kapoor in year 1991. In 2000, Big B was crowned as 'Superstar of Millenium'. Amitabh Bachchan was also first Asian whose wax model was included at London’s Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Government of India houred him with Padma Shri in 1984 and Padma Bhushan in 2001. Recently, he was unanimously minated for Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Amitabh Bachchan has also acted in movies like Pink, Badla, Sarkar Raj, Agneepath and many more popular films. At of 76, he still has several projects lined up for him. He will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. legend is a true inspiration to all.
