Amitabh Bachchan to be bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke on Dec 29
Amitabh Bachchan recently won the Dadashaeb Phalke Award but due to his health he was not able to attend the award ceremony, but the date has been shifted

Amitabh Bachchan missed National Film Awards ceremony on December 23, Monday, due to ill health. Information and Brocasting (IB) Minister Prakash Javekar said that actor will be presented with Dasaheb Phalke hour on December 29. And Javekar also said at National Film awards ceremony in New Delhi that President Ram Nath Kovind will host a high-tea for all winners at Rashtrapati Bhavan where Bachchan will be presented with Indian cinema’s biggest hour.
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted on Sunday that he would have to give ceremony a miss as he was down with fever and doctors h vised him to avoid travelling. actor’s tweet got all his fans worried as y got to kw about Amitabh’s ill-health and tweeted back with speedy recovery wishes. award was named after Dhundiraj Govind Phalke who was revered as far of Indian cinema, was instituted in 1969, same year where Amitabh Bachchan me his debut in Hindi film industry with his film Saat Hindustani. This award is considered as highest hour for an artist in Indian cinema, award comprises a Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus) medallion, a shawl, and a cash prize of ₹ 10,00,000. It was also conferred upon late actor Vid Khanna in 2017. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu presented National Film Awards to winners on Monday. National Awards are being knighted to winners by President of India.

On or hand, Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khuranna jointly won Best Actor trophy for ir performances in Uri: Surgical Strike and Andhhun, respectively. Keerthy Suresh won Best Actress award for her role in Telugu movie Mahanati. itya Dhar of Uri won Best Director award.
