Amitabh Bachchan unable to make KIFF, Mamata Banerjee gives update

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was scheduled to inaugurate the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival on Friday at Kolkata;he could not attend owing to ill health.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took st during inauguration of 25th Kolkata International Film Festival on Friday and stated that superstar Amitabh Bachchan could t attend event on account of his ill health. She went on to reveal that reason veteran actor, who has been unwell for past few days, could t turn up for inauguration was that he had been severely indisposed. Mamata Banerjee n addressed  audience and said that even though Amitabh Bachchan had to skip festival, his fond thoughts were always with people of Kolkata.

After inaugurating speech at Kolkata International Film Festival, chief minister Mamata Banerjee went on to light ceremonial lamp along with or veterans from film industry who were present for occasion. Among dignitaries present for event were yesteryear actor Rakhee Gulzar, popular Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, and ors. Amitabh Bachchan had to cancel his scheduled visit for inauguration as his doctors had advised him complete rest and restricted his movements.

Doctors advise Amitabh Bachchan to cut back from work

week-long Kolkata International Film Festival took off on Friday and is scheduled to end on vember 15. Meanwhile, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been strictly advised to take time off work and rest. actor has been in news for days w due to his ill health. actor took to Twitter and apologized for t being able to grace occasion and stated that he "will make up for it someday".
