Mumbai, financial capital of country has been witnessing heavy disruptions in terms of travel and infrastructure due to intense and incessant rains that has crippled city. Bollywood celebrities including Varun Dhawan, Kunal Kemmu, Renuka Shahane, Bipasha Basu, Sara Ali Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Kajol and many ors took to ir social media handle to share mayhem caused in city. Amitabh Bachchan's old bungalow 'Pratiksha' in Juhu got waterlogged and video went viral.

Similarly, 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' actress Renuka Shahane also took to her Facebook account to share her car picture which got submerged due to high water levels. She warned everyone t to leave ir houses unless necessary. She wrote: "Don't venture out of your homes unless necessary. re was chaos with school children stuck in school vans and cars overheating and catching fire. Truly terrifying!!!" Take a look -

Bhumi Pednekar who was on her way to Khopoli for a shoot was stuck for more than five hours due to Mumbai rains. “Been on road since 1.. en route Khopoli to shoot. Where re is a will…” she wrote her Instagram story. Actor Kunal Kemmu also shared a series of clips on his Instagram story and wrote: "Better option of travel today would have been a jet ski." Kajol too shared terrifying condition of city and wrote: "It's a rainy day, let's stay at home and watch scary kind of day!" and "Mumbai Becomes Venice #mumbaimonsoon", was shared by Bipasha Basu on her social media.

MUMBAI RAIN UPDATE

School education minister Ashish Shelar anunced this on Wednesday on his official Twitter account @ShelarAshish. He said, In view of heavy rains today and rainfall forecast, as a precautionary measure, holiday is declared for all schools and junior colleges in Mumbai, Thane and Kokan region tomorrow 5 Sep 2019.

District collectors in or parts of Maharashtra to decide, based on local conditions, he added. Earlier in day, Mumbai civic body had asked schools in city and suburbs to remain closed on Wednesday in view of heavy rainfall.
