Amul's latest topical lauds Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Article 15', calls it 'hard-hitting'

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana's latest outing 'Article 15' has garnered praise and appreciation for its powerful storyline, direction and brilliant performances by the actors. The film which deals with social injustice and caste discrimination struck the right chords with the audience by pointing out the caste discrimination that still exists in various parts of the country. It was widely praised by the audience and the critics.
Amul Topical which often comes up with interesting doodles to celebrate occasions dedicated a recent one to the film. It recreated Ayushmann Khurrana's cop avatar from the film and paired it up with the iconic Amul girl. In the poster, the characters can be seen investigating a case with documents in one hand and a slice of bread and butter on the other.
Adding an utterly buttery twist to the film's tagline- "Farq bahut karlia, ab farq laenge"the animated poster read, "Farq laayenge, Makhan khaayenge!" It also added, "The real article!". Sharing the pic on Twitter, the dairy company described 'Article 15' as a 'hard hitting Bollywood film!'

Following the same, Ayushmann responded to the dairy brand and thanked it for its kind gesture. Sharing the doodle on Instagram stories, Ayushmann wrote, "This is special."
While, the director of the film, Anubhav Sinha shared that it was his dream to get an Amul caricature. "A secret dream fulfilled. Thanks, AMUL," he wrote alongside the cartoon poster shared on his Instagram.

Article 15', directed by Anubhav Sinha, is inspired by the heinous Badaun rape incident where two teenage girls were gang-raped and gruesomely murdered by hanging them while they were still alive. It narrates the hard-hitting tale of the honour killing and the feckless attitude of the police department in dealing with the matters. The film is titled referring it to Article 15 of the Indian Constitution which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.
Besides, Ayushmann, the film also stars Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in the film. The film is produced by Benaras Media Works. It released countrywide on July 4.
