He also spoke about veteran actor's exceptional acting skills during his career. Rishi Kapoor passed away at HN Reliance Hospital at of 67 after being mitted re on Wednesday.

In his tweet, Amit Shah expressed his grief and opined that Rishi Kapoor was an institution within. He also remarked that his death will be a major loss to cinema fraternity of India.

Rishi Kapoor's family's statement:
"Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. doctors and medical staff at hospital said he kept m entertained to last.
He remained jovial and determined to live to fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did t let his illness get better of him.
He was grateful for love of his fans that poured in from world over. In his passing, y would all understand that he would like to be remembered with a smile and t with tears.
In this hour of personal loss, we also recognise world is going through a very difficult and troubled time. re are numerous restrictions around movement and garing in public. We would like to request all his fans and well-wishers and friends of family to please respect laws that are in force.
