Anand Tiwari says his ‘understanding of direction’ increased after ‘Bandish Bandits’

As of yesterday, streaming platform Amazon Prime Video released Indian musical love story, Bandish Bandits. web series stars actors like Shreya Chaudhry and Ritwik Bhowmik in le roles. Furr, web series is directed by Love per Square Foot director, Anand Tiwari. In an interview with Indian Express, Anand Tiwari said that his understanding of direction h improved after he directed musical love story, Bandish Bandits.

During interview, Anand was asked how he grew as a director after directing this show. While Tiwari said that his understanding of direction h increased, he also said that he h directed a project that was ‘heavily written’ by ar person. Hence he felt that Bandish Bandits was a new experience for him. He also revealed that he h never shot for a long project like Bandish Bandits.

Talking about me of show, Anand Tiwari revealed cause for making a musical show. producer of Bandish Bandits, Amritpal Bindra and Tiwari h worked on different s of content in last 5-6 years. Based on ir experience, two realized that me of Bandish Bandits hn’t been picked up. Hence y decided to create something that would resonate with youth and could also be expressed through art. Tiwari felt that music was ‘most transcending’ form of art. Hence idea of show was conceived. He felt that showcasing two popular forms of music i.e. tritional and pop was best way to define India.

Talking about Bandish Bandits cast, Anand Tiwari revealed why he cast certain actors in show. He revealed that team was looking for ‘fresh-faces’ who would be able to take ‘weight of show’ and also play a love story. Tiwari said that le actors i.e. Shreya and Anand were cast only after a lengthy process of auditioning. director felt that or cast members liked content of show and also appreciated fact that music played a crucial role in show. y hence decided to join Bandish Bandits team.
