Ayushmann Khurrana, who has a lot of hits to his credit especially with his latest successes, starred in Director Sriram Raghavan's thriller 'Andhadhun' last year. The movie, which also starred Tabu did extremely well at the box-office and was overall well-received. It made more than Rs.400 crores worldwide, making it the 14th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time. It is now being reported that the actor-director duo is reuniting for another movie together.

"A Typical Sriram Raghavan Film" in the Making
Sources have reported that director Sriram Raghavan took some time out to write two scripts and has pitched an idea to Ayushmann Khurana. Ayushmann is reported to have liked the idea a lot and has given an affirmative on his involvement in the project. The source also gave a hint into the genre of the movie by saying, "This is yet again a typical Sriram Raghavan film which will be dark, intriguing and mysterious". It was cleared out that this movie is not a sequel to the hit from 2018 as Sriram "doesn't believe in sequels and franchises". The production of the movie is said to proceed after Ayushmann wraps up 'Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavhdan'.
High Expectations Are in Place
The director-actor duo came into the limelight with 2018's 'Andhadhun', which was subject to tons of critical acclaim. The film won every category it was nominated for at the 66th National Film Festival with Ayushmann winning the prestigious 'Best Actor' award. The film did outstanding business both in India and overseas. It was highly speculated that the movie might get a sequel.
Khurana has been working on a lot of movies recently and some of his upcoming movies are 'Dream Girl', 'Bala', 'Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan', and 'Gulabo Sitabo'. On the other hand, Sriram is working on 'Ekkis', a film which will be based on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal who was 21 when he became a martyr in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
