Anil Kapoor is known for being the actor who refuses to age. The Mr. India actor has been a part of the Indian film industry for four decades now. He became a global sensation after he acted in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire. He has managed to stay ageless and has reportedly said that his son Harshvardhan is his fitness inspiration. Anil Kapoor follows a strict diet and lifestyle habits along with work out routines to keep himself in good shape. He has also shared a few videos on his Instagram account that show the No Entry star training on his running skills. Here are some of the secrets of the star that help him stay fit and youthful.

Anil Kapoor in an interview with an English daily, revealed that he wakes up at 6 in the morning and eats a banana to gain his daily dose of carbs, potassium and iron. He also said that he counts his calories after every meal and that he eats about 5-6 meals during the day, every day. For breakfast, he eats eggs and toast or oats, with black coffee and freshly squeezed juice. He said he eats different forms of fish. He eats a small proportion of ham, chicken and turkey sandwich or a shake in the evening. However, he keeps his dinner light by eating chicken and fish in a fixed proportion. He further said that he drinks a lot of water to keep himself hydrated. It is reported that he avoids junk food and sugar while eating a lot of dairy products.

Anil Kapoor in an interview revealed that he likes to change his exercise according to the roles he is going to play. He said that his father and his grandfather only believed in taking long walks and hence, as a child all he did was walking. But as times changed he included other fitness activities in his day-to-day life, like going to a gym. It is also reported that he spends almost two to three hours in the gym and makes sure that he does at least 10 minutes of cardio each day. In his workout routine, he allegedly includes chair squats, sit-ups, free weights, crunches, push-ups, etc. He also does yoga. He reportedly does not believe in focusing on one part of the body while exercising, he rather focuses on different parts of his body. In an interview, he had revealed that he works out for three days inside the gym while for the rest of the days he works out in the outdoors.

He said he doesn’t drink or smoke and was considered to be a boring guy during his youth. He revealed that he doesn’t go to late-night parties and if he hosts any such parties, he still follows his routine and goes to bed. His Dil Dhadakne Do co-star, Shefali Shah had revealed during an interview that as the movie was shot on a cruise, the cast would party in the night. However, Anil Kapoor was dedicated to his routine and stuck to his regime of shooting, work out, eating his diet food and going to bed.
