Mr India (1987)
Released in the year 1987, Mr India remains in the list of most loved movies even today. Anil Kapoor played the role of Arun Verma who turns invisible with the help of a device. He names his invisible self as Mr India. The movie also stars Sridevi as his leading lady and Amrish Puri as the iconic villain Mogambo. The movie producers reported a staggering collection of ₹12 crores, which was a significant milestone for movies of that period.
Ram – Lakhan (1989)
Directed by Subhash Gai the movie stars Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Madhuri Dixit in lead pair. The story of two brothers and their vengeance had the perfect amount of drama and comedy. Lakhan Pratap Singh played by Anil Kapoor is remembered by many till date. Judaai (1996)
The family drama stars Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Urmila Matondkar in the lead role. The plot of the movie revolves around the three and shares a message of what is more important: love or money. Taal (1999)
The musical drama is considered as a milestone in Indian Cinema by many. Along with Anil Kapoor, it stars Akshaye Khanna, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alok Nath and Amrish Puri. Nayak: The Real Hero (2001)
Shivaji Rao Gaekwad essayed by Anil Kapoor become an instant fan-favourite. The political action-drama showcased the story of a common man who accepts the challenge offered by the chief minister to take his place for one day. It portrays how Shivaji gets stuck in dirty politics in the film. Rani Mukerji was paired opposite Anil Kapoor, while Amrish Puri played the antagonist as the chief minister. The movie had an average verdict at the box office but has an IMDb rating of 7.8.

Welcome (2007)
The comedy movie had Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as the leading pair. It was a multi-starrer film that included Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Feroz Khan, Mallika Sherawat and Supriya Karnik. However, Anil as Majnu Bhai was one of the most favourite characters in the film. His comic timing and portrayal of the don was hilarious. Anil Kapoor’s first English-language film is Slumdog Millionaire. He was seen as Prem Kumar, the host of a show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
