Animal becomes 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2023, check week-wise box office collection
Animal has beaten Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 and is now the third-highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year, only behind Jawan and Pathaan.

Animal released at the box office on December 1 and has shown no signs of stopping after three weeks of its run. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has minted ₹532.77 crore nett in India in 21 days in all languages. With these figures, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has surpassed India collection of Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 and is now the third-highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year, only behind Jawan and Pathaan.
Animal week-wise collection details
Animal registered a huge opening week 1 collection of ₹338.63 crore in all languages in India. In week 2, it minted ₹140.51 crore at the domestic box office, taking its box office collection to ₹479.14 crore in 14 days. In its third week, Animal minted 53.63 crore, taking its 21-day collection to ₹532.77 crore nett in India.

About Animal movie
The pan-India movie also features Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra. Animal showcases a violent world set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor.
While it is running successfully in theatres, a section of critics and viewers have slammed “Animal”, calling it misogynistic and graphically violent.
The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures.
