Animal star Bobby Deol reveals he was dissatisfied with Race 3, Housefull 4, scared to do Aashram

Bobby Deol is currently basking in success of his latest release Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. While he has made appearances in films like Race 3 and Housefull 4 in past few years, actor claimed he didn’t feel satisfied with his roles in movies. Bobby credited big-budgeted film for bringing him to silver screen but added that he felt true gratification as an actor only after entering OTT . 

Bobby Deol talks about turning point of his career 

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Bobby talked about resurgence of his acting career with Race 3 and ensemble comedy Housefull 4. actor said, “I did Race 3, Housefull 4 but as an actor, y were t giving me that kind of satisfaction. Yes, people ticed me, younger generation came to kw who Bobby Deol was, it worked for me that way. When I did Class of 83, it all started for me from re, when people started believing in me as an actor, n Aashram happened.”

Bobby furr delved into his experience of working in web series Aashram, which brought him both numbers and critical acclaim. He admitted that at first, he was nervous about accepting role to point where he kept it a secret from his family. 

“I was very scared when I did show. t scared that I won’t be able to do what I want to do as an actor but because people might take it in a wrong way. When I was playing character, I didn’t tell me far, bror or mom. I didn’t tell m because I felt y would influence me into t wanting to do it,” added Barsaat star.  

Bobby stated that every actor experiences this, stressing that y are t endorsing a product but rar playing characters. For those who don't kw, he portrayed Baba Nirala in Aashram, a corrupt, self-proclaimed godman.

Animal featured Bobby Deol in role of antagonist, Abrar Haque. film has turned out to be a huge success at box office. However, its problematic portrayal of women sparked intense social media outcry when it released last Friday.
