Anubhav Sinha calls failure of 'Ra.One' 'haunting and exhausting experience’

Anubhav Sinha recently revealed in an interaction with a daily on how the failure of his ambitious superhero flick 'Ra. One' affected him. Read on to know more.

Anubhav Sinha h mand to receive several acclaims for his past films like Taapsee Pannu starrer Thapp and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15. But it is t a hidden fact that his 2011 ambitious superhero film Ra.One h proved to be a debacle at box office and filmmaker h received a lot of flak for it. In a recent interaction with a daily, director h opened about effect, film's failure h on him.

On this, Anubhav said that he has been relentless over se past three deces. He ded how he has fallen, gotten up, and fallen again defining his struggle. Anubhav went on to say that after he me one of biggest films in Bollywood like Ra.One and n received so much flak for it, it completely drained him. Tum Bin director also said how incident haunted him for many years. filmmaker said that criticisms and failure of movie h exhausted him both physically and mentally. But director also expressed his wish to make at least one more superhero film before he retires.

Meanwhile, after success of Article 15, filmmaker is also all set to collaborate with Ayushmann once again. director has hinted movie to be, 'bigger film in its scope and what it can change.' Reportedly director is t in a hurry to being shooting of movie amidst ongoing pandemic situation.

Anubhav Sinha on shooting amidst pandemic

Talking about shooting in present pandemic conditions, he said that he is t 'bullish' about shooting soon. He also said that for next year-and-a-half, shooting process will become slower and that it will become 20 per cent more expensive to protect people who are working on it. He called social distancing on a film set as an 'oxymoron'. He said that social distancing process on a film set cant happen and that people can continue lying to mselves about that. 

Reportedly, Mulk director's next with Ayushmann is touted to be a political flick and will be different from his earlier works. director h me his debut in year 2001 with movie Tum Bin. director concluded by stating that his filmmaking has undergone some changes over years with films like Mulk, Article 15, and Thapp.
