Anupam Kher Celebrates 33 Years Of 'Ups And Downs' With Wife Kirron Kher

Actors Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher went through a rough marriage with their respective partners before they got together with each other. However, their married life was not all happy and always up against the hill. They came along with the baggage of their past, but also an endearing past, that of a good friendship. The two had been good friends ever since their theatre days in Chandigarh, but only to part ways post their respective weddings. However, their respective marriages hit rock bottom which ended up bringing the two closer.

Anupam Kher and Kirron got married in the year 1985. Even though they found love, they had to face hardships, with respect to striking a balance between their career and personal lives. Kirron Kher dropped out of movies, to encourage Anupam Kher, who was doing extremely well in the industry at that time. Even though they had their ups and downs, the two have survived their relationship and their marriage is an inspiration for the younger generation, especially at a time when there is a misconception that Bollywood marriages cease to survive the changing times.

On Sunday, August 26, as the couple complete 33 years of marriage, Anupam Kher shared a heartwarming post for his wife Kirron. The 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' actor wrote, "Happy 33rd Anniversary dearest Kirron. Thank you for your love and laughter. Thank you for your grace. It has been a great journey of ups & downs. But it has been a solid one. Many more to come. Chandigarh is lucky to have you as it’s MP @KirronKherBJP ji. Mumbai misses you."

All you need to know about Anupam and Kirron Kher

Kirron Kher is currently the Member of Parliament from Chandigarh. The two are in a long-distance relationship and have yet managed to set relationship goals for the younger generation. Back in 2013, when the two were living together, they had to make use of the phone to be in constant touch with each other because of their work commitments. As per reports, Kirron Kher had revealed that Anupam would never take a day off, even on a Sunday and never gave much time to the family. Kirron Kher has a son, Sikandar Kher, from her first marriage, who has now ventured into films. He was last seen in the film 'Tere Bin Laden 2' which released in 2016. 

What's next for Anupam Kher

On the work front, the 'Special 26' actor will soon be seen in the upcoming political drama, 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. The film is based on the 2104 memoir written by former Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh's media adviser Sanjay Baru. The film revolves around Singh's term as the Prime Minister and is based on Baru's take on the events that took place during that time.
