PM-CARES' Rs 3100 cr Covid outlay a 'tight slap to those claiming conspiracy': Anupam Kher

Soon after Prime Minister's Office (PMO) anunced allocation of Rs.3100 crore under PM CARES Fund Trust towards fight against vel Coronavirus on Wednesday, Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher lashed out at people who have been criticising PM CARES fund and alleging conspiracy behind it. Taking to Twitter actor said allocation of fund is a 'tight slap' on faces of such people.
"A tight slap on faces of all those unhappy souls who thought re was some conspiracy in this fund. w echo of this slap will be heard by everyone. It will definitely be heard", actor said.

On Wednesday, PM CARES Fund Trust anunced allocation of Rs.3100 crore for fight against Covid. While Rs.2000 crore shall be earmarked for purchase of ventilators, Rs.1000 crore will be used for care of migrants. ditionally, Rs.100 crore will be dedicated to development of COVID-19 vaccine. As per a press release, PM thanked all dors for ir generosity in contributing to PM CARES Fund.

Details of fund allocation
As part of Centre's push for indigeus products, 50,000 'Me-in-India' ventilators shall be purchased from PM CARES fund. ventilators will be provided to government-run COVID-19 hospitals in states and Union Territories. As far as allocation for migrants is concerned, state governments shall be given a lump sum amount of Rs.1000 crore. se funds will be released to District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners for providing accommodation facilities, food arrangements, medical treatment and transportation arrangements of migrants. funds will be given to states based on weight of population (50%), number of COVID-19 cases (40%), and equal share for all states(10%). amount for vaccine development shall be utilised under supervision of Principal Scientific visor.

Called Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund, this charitable trust was set up by Centre on March 28. While PM Modi is Chairman of this trust, Defence Minister, Home Minister and Finance Minister are or members.
