Bollywood has reacted strongly against death of a 19-year-old girl from Uttar Presh's Hathras after she was gangraped, in an atrocity that has horrified India. A lot of celebrities have voiced ir umbrage at gruesome incident, and on Thursday, Anushka Sharma and Kriti Sanon have posted about a trend in vocabulary and reporting of rape wherein y highlight how victims are belittled. Kriti's post also speaks about how one should try and get justice for victim.
Kriti Sanon speaks up against belittling a rape victim
On Kriti Sanon's Instagram, actor wrote a lengthy note against belittling a gangrape victim along with pictures to drive her point home. She began post saying, "It's not a new story, it's an old one!". She n went on to talk about how many protests, candle marches and condemnations h taken place in past against such incidents but nothing has changed.

Kriti Sanon also went on to state statistical records saying, "87 rape cases every day in 2019 and 4,05,861 cases of crimes against women during that year- 7% more than 2018". She opines that it is 'mindset' that needs to be changed along with 'patriarchal thinking'. She says that girls and boys need to be brought up in such a way that y do not differentiate between mselves.
Kriti Sanon ends note saying that girls should be told "y are no less and educate m so y can become independent". In end, she ds, "When Gender Equality will start at HOME, change is inevitable! 🙏🏻". Take a look at her post:
