Anushka-Virat celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, actress decks up in Kanjivaram silk saree

The nation is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi today. Commemorating the occasion, several Bollywood stars welcomed Lord Ganesh at their homes. Celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Viral Kohli also joined in the festivities and shared pictures from their celebrations.

Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli perform Ganesh Puja 

Anushka took to her Instagram handle on Tuesday to share photos from their Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. The actress posted an image of Lord Ganesh statue, another one of her posing with Virat and a third one of the couple performing puja rituals.

Anushka had her hair up in a bun and was dressed in a Kanjivaram silk saree with a golden and red colour scheme. She chose to wear subtle makeup with gold jewellery. Virat, on the other hand, was dressed up in pyjamas and a printed kurta.

A day ago, Anushka shared a mirror selfie from her gym. Other than workout equipment, the room was filled with sofas, tables, chairs, cushions and other furniture. Sharing the photo, she revealed that she shifted furniture to her gym in order to make space for Lord Ganesha's idol. She wrote, "When you got to move furniture around for Ganpati and gym is the only place."

The couple recently returned from West Indies. The couple was there as the Indian cricketer was busy with the Test, ODI and T20 series against the hosts. Taking time off from the on-field action, the couple took time out for a date at Cafe A LA Mer in Barbados.
