The actress believes in living a healthy lifestyle. Anushka is also known for promoting plant-based foods. In the year 2015, PETA awarded her with the Hottest Vegetarian Award. She also loves dogs and always seeks justice for them.

2. She was a school topper and wanted to pursue Journalism

She started working at the age of 15 and did not enjoy her college life like her friends did. Anushka started modelling in the early stages of her life. For a year and a half, she used to go to auditions and shows to find her path in acting. Even after being a topper in school, she decided to become a model by going against societal norms.

3. She loves animals

She loves animals, especially dogs, although she is scared of lizards. She previously shared a picture on her Instagram account with a dog. Her husband Virat Kohli is also an animal lover. The picture also went viral where the couple showed their love for the dog.

4. Anushka and Virat are childhood friends

Anushka’s grandmother said that her granddaughter and Virat used to play cricket when they were kids. The Indian captain was Anushka’s childhood crush back then. They met again while shooting for an advertisement for a famous shampoo brand. The couple got married after dating each other for nearly four years.

5. She likes Bob Marley

The 31-year-old loves the Jamaican singer-songwriter's music and is inspired by it too. Previously, on her birthday, she was seen spending time with her husband in an Instagram post. The video, which was shared on social media, had background music of the song Is This Love by Marley. It was a surprise for Anushka's fans to know about her taste in music.
