Aparshakti Khurana is a renowned actor from the Hindi film industry, who is known for his works as a supporting actor in leading Bollywood films. He is the sibling of the Dream Girl actor, Ayushmann Khurrana. He is also a renowned Radio Jockey and television emcee. Here is a glance through the actor’s works on-screen:

Aparshakti Khurana's filmography:

He made his acting breakthrough with the 2016 biopic Dangal which was directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film was based on the story of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, and how he trains his daughters Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat to become India’s top female wrestlers. In Dangal, Aparshakti Khurana essayed the role of Omkar (Mahavir Phogat’s Nephew). He shared the screen space with Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Sakshi Tanwar in the film. Dangal eventually went on to become the highest-grossing film of the country. In 2016, he also shared the screen space for the film Saat Uchakkey, which did not do well at the box-office.

Aparshakti Khurana’s next film release was Badrinath Ki Dulhania, directed by Shashank Khaitan. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were his co-stars in the romantic comedy. Aparshakti Khurana played the role of Bhushan Mishra (Alia Bhatt’s brother-in-law) in the rom-com. Badrinath Ki Dulhania was one of the highest-grossing films for the year 2017.

In 2018, he appeared in 3 films with the first one being Mudassar Aziz’s Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi. The movie was a box-office bomb, and could not impress the audiences. Aparshakti then appeared in Amar Kaushik’s directorial debut Stree. The horror-comedy co-starred Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi. Stree emerged as a box-office hit. Rajma Chawal was his final film in 2018, co-starring Rishi Kapoor, Anirudh Talwar, and Amyra Dastur. Rajma Chawal tanked at the box-office.

In 2019, Aparshakti Khurana again played a supporting character in the Laxman Utekar's film Luka Chuppi. The film’s star cast featured Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, and Pankaj Tripathi. Luka Chuppi proved to be successful at the box-office. Aparshakti Khurana then shared the screen with Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra in the action-comedy Jabariya Jodi. Though the movie received mixed reviews, it could not do well in terms of box-office collections. He also starred in Kanpuriye, which is a Hotstar exclusive film alongside Dibyendu Sharma and Vijay Raaz.

Aparshakti Khurana's upcoming projects

Aparshakti Khurana will be seen in the forthcoming film Street Dancer 3D, which has been slated for a release on January 24, 2020. Co-starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, Street Dancer 3D is a sequel to the 2015 dance movie ABCD 2. Aparshakti Khurana will also share the screen for Pati Patni Aur Woh and Zufiyan: The Great Man. He is also reported to be featuring in Stree 2, which is a sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy Stree.
