Kabir Singh was caught up in several controversies as film’s scenes came out as misogynist as per many reports. re were several scenes in film which promoted toxic masculinity according to many reports. In interview, Arjan Bajwa said that many of viewers loved film, however, a section of m were pessimist about film. Even though film performed well at Box Office, re will always be fingers pointed at some scenes. Arjan Bajwa also said that critics should t find underlying meaning to anything that is just a part of script. He mentioned that when y call out on certain scenes, y are also calling out on someone’s hard work.

However, Arjan Bajwa defended film by saying that he or film does t endorse hitting women. film was all about exploring creative freedom of story. In this story, Kiara Advani’s character Preeti slaps Shahid’s character, Kabir Singh, first. It is n Kabir also slaps her. According to Arjan, film should t be tagged as misogynist for just scene. It is an intense love story and has an engaging plot.

Arjan Bajwa was n asked about Sandeep Reddy, director of film. Sandeep Reddy had earlier commented that in a relationship, man should have right to touch a woman wherever y want, to see any emotion. This comment had gotten director into trouble. Arjun Bajwa defended director by saying that he did t ‘glorify’ any foul behaviour, but romance and freedom in a relationship. Arjan called it a story and t a situation with deep meaning behind it. Arjan Bajwa also called out on scene in Gully Boy, when Alia Bhatt’s character breaks a bottle over Kalki Koechlin’s character when she is jealous about former flirting with latter’s boyfriend. Arjan questioned, why isn’t anyone talking about such scenes, where a woman is involved in abuse.
